Echoes of 1939 welcomes contributions from historians, researchers, educators, and informed enthusiasts. If you have a topic you believe would add value to the archive, we would be glad to hear from you.
What we publish
We publish original research articles on topics relating to the Second World War (1939–1945), with particular interest in:
- Civilian experience under wartime occupation across Europe
- Resistance movements and underground networks
- Personal testimonies and primary source analysis
- Military operations and their civilian consequences
- Post-war reconstruction, accountability, and memory
Editorial standards
All submissions must meet the following standards:
- Factually accurate, with sources identified
- Written in accessible English for a general educated audience
- Educational in intent — not polemical, sensationalist, or promotional
- Compliant with Google AdSense content policies (no graphic content, no glorification of violence or ideology)
- Original work not published elsewhere
How to submit
Please use the contact form and select "Propose an article" as the subject. Include a brief outline (100–200 words) of your proposed topic, your relevant background, and any sources you intend to draw on. We will respond within ten working days.
