About Echoes of 1939
Echoes of 1939 is an independent personal history blog dedicated to the scholarly study of the Second World War (1939–1945). All articles are written for educational, documentary, and research purposes. The blog covers military history, civilian experience under wartime occupation, resistance movements across Europe, and the post-war period of reconstruction and accountability.
This blog does not promote, glorify, or endorse any political ideology associated with the wartime period, including fascism, totalitarianism, or any form of discriminatory ideology. Topics involving civilian suffering, forced displacement, and wartime atrocity are handled with care, using factual and respectful language throughout. The purpose is to educate, not to sensationalise.
